James McSharry is an artist living and working in Greenville, South Carolina. An original studio member of Oyé Studios, an artists’ workspace in downtown Greenville, he currently works out of his home studio.

As the grandson of antique dealers and son of art collectors, McSharry has always felt drawn to visual art and the history of hand-made objects. After he graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Packaging Science, he began using his engineering sensibility to approach sculpture.

His nature-inspired work finished with natural metal patinas speaks to his love of the outdoors be it hiking, mountain- biking, or off-roading. McSharry creates mid to large scale sculptures for private homes as well as cooperate commissions.
